History: The Arizona Simulation Network began as informal meetings of nurse educators to share ideas for simulation education. As interest grew, attendance included representation from academia, service and military simulation specialists.
The first Board of Directors were elected in May, 2009, followed by the formalization of the organization with the acceptacnce of the bylaws on October 17, 2009. The Network grew to 52 members within 10 months.
Leadership and Structure: The Arizona Simulation Network elected leadership consists of a President, Vice President/President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chair and Past-President.
Additional leadership roles include Co-Chairs of four committees that guide the direction of the organization. Members of the may choose to be more actively involved in the Network by their involvement in a committee. The four committees within the Network are:

b) Program Operations and Advancement
c) Collaboration and Research
d) Technology and Communication
